In the coming months, construction will start at the Whiteley in preparation for the next chapter in this fantastic building’s life. The Whiteley Shopping Centre is now closed, paving the way for works to commence, marking the first phase of the much-needed restoration and transformation of The Whiteley.
The redevelopment of the historic Whiteley Shopping Centre will create a vibrant destination for the community. The development will retain a cinema offering in addition to providing an exciting variety of retailers, cafés and restauranteurs, a new hotel and new homes.
The proposed development will protect the site’s heritage and enhance the retail offer whilst also creating a pedestrian-friendly Queensway.
