The redevelopment and restoration of the Whiteley will protect the site’s heritage and enhance the retail offer, whilst also helping to create a pedestrian-friendly Queensway. The proposals will also provide residential accommodation – a mix of apartments and townhouses – and new local amenities including a hotel, cinema and a variety of restaurants.
In preparation for the next chapter in this fantastic building’s life, the Whiteley Shopping Centre and car park has now closed. This will pave the way for enabling works to commence in early 2019 , marking the first phase of the much-needed restoration and transformation of the Whiteley.
We’re excited to restore this iconic London heritage building as it forms an important part of the wider regeneration of Queensway which is being transformed into a more pedestrian friendly thoroughfare for London by widening the pavements and reducing street clutter.
